The Wildlife Conservation Society, founded in 1895, has the clear mission to save wildlife and wild places across the globe. WCS's goal is to conserve the world's largest wild places in 16 priority regions, home to more than 50% of the world's biodiversity. We currently manage about 500 conservation projects in more than 60 countries.

WCS has been working in partnership with the Royal Government of Cambodia since 1999, providing technical advice and support for the conservation of key habitats and species across the country.

The WCS Cambodia program is growing rapidly! We are expanding our family and are looking for applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions. Detailed job descriptions of the positions are attached.

  • Duty Station: Mondulkiri Province

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Literate and numerate (High school graduate level) / បញ្ចប់ការសិក្សាទុតិយភូមិ (ថ្នាក់ទី១២)។
  • Indigenous language skills / អាចចេះភាសារជនជាតិភាគតិច (ព្នង) កាន់តែប្រសើរ។
  • Excellent grasp of local culture and the conditions of life within KSWS / ប៉ិនប្រសប់ក្នុងការសម្របសម្រួលខ្លួនជាមួយប្រពៃណី និងការរស់នៅជាមួយជនជាតិដើមភាគតិច។
  • Able to manage several tasks at one time and priorities effectively / មានលទ្ធិភាពបែងចែក និងគ្រប់គ្រងការងារអាទិភាពក្នុងពេលជាមួយគ្នា និងមានប្រសិទ្ធភាព។
  • Absolute reliability / ធ្វើការងារដោយឯករាជ្យ និងមានភាពជឿជាក់។

Desirable Skills and Attributes / ជំនាញដែលត្រូវការ និងពាក់ព័ន្ធ: 

This following list is of desirable, not essential skills and attributes. It is not in priority order. Full training will be given to the successful candidate(s).

  • Ability to read a map / មានបទពិសោធន៏ ក្នុងការមើល/ប្រើផែនទី
  • Previous experience of creating written reports / មានបទពិសោធន៏ក្នុងការសរសេររបាយការណ៏
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, especially) / ចេះប្រើប្រាស់កុំព្យូទ័រ
  • Familiarity with radio and GPS systems / មានបទពិសោធន៏ក្នុងការប្រើប្រាស់វិទ្យុទាក់ទង និងឧបករណ៏ GPS
  • Experience of work in a conservation role / មានបទពិសោធន៏ធ្វើការងារផ្នែកអភិរក្សធនធានធម្មជាតិ

The successful applicant will be:

  • Honest.  Prepared to say ‘no’ when it has to be said / ស្មោះត្រង់ និងក្លា្ហហានក្នុងការសម្រេចចិត្ត
  • Able to work unsupervised within defined guidelines / មានសមត្ថភាព ធ្វើការដោយឯករាជ្យ និងប្រសិទ្ធិផល
  • Discreet / មានលក្ខណៈសាមញ្ញ
