Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment (MoE) was delighted to arrange a field trip for a group of 12 national journalists from six well-known media outlets to Kulen Promtep and Chhep Wildlife Sanctuaries within the Northern Plains Landscape, Preah Vihear province.
During the visit, the journalists were briefed about the progress and achievements of key activities, funded by the European Union, Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies and Agence Française de Développement (AFD), in the Northern Plains of Cambodia, which include support for local livelihoods through the development of ecotourism activities at Tmatbouy, Prey Veng and Dangphlet villages, as well as the direct conservation payment scheme for Globally threatened water bird nest protection.
